History (HX):disable to walk
Findings: Large lobulated mass in brainstem with mass effect upon the 4th ventricle & causing obstructing hydrocephalus. The lesion composed of multiple cysts with numerous fluid –fluid levels .Most cysts have a complete hemosiderin rim. This lesion shows various signal intensities consistent with blood of various stages. On SWI the lesion is very low signal suggesting blood products ( susceptibility effect) Diagnostic (DX): Giant cavernous malformation Discussion : Large cavernous malformation ( popcorn ball) number 2 cause of spontaneous ICH in children after AVM. |
