History (HX): Left hemiparesis for 2 days. male 87y
Findings: Small lesion in right side of pons high signal on DWI and low on ADC map which is hardly visible on T2WI / FLAIR Diagnose (DX): Acute pontine infarct Discussion: DWI can detect cerebral ischemia within about 30 minutes of its onset but conventional MR is positive within a few hours, after cerebral infarction |
